I judge a Mexican restaurant based on the crunchy beef tacos and these tacos were fantastic. Very crunchy, the beef was flavorful, lots of fresh lettuce, tomatoes and a ton of shredded cheddar. The beef taquitos are also delicious, the beef was moist and full of flavor and the chili verde is also worthy of the drive.

Decided to order the Chips especial with asada and salsa on the side. Friendly staff. Food was ready within 5-10 minutes.

Love everything in their menu. Maria who works there is very nice delicious mexican foods . My regular to go place when me and my husband is craving for mexican food

The food is soooo good. Have had the green and red chili burrito along with their tacos and their carnitas burrito. Just wish they' took ATM. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to go back again soon

Sweetest lady working the front. She took care of us first-timers and definitely will be back. Sauces and asada were very flavorful.

I have been coming here since I was a kid. I knew the family that owned it, now it's run by the younger son. The woman at the counter says: I haven't seen you for a while...Today I ordered a hard beef taco $3.25 and a half green and half red burrito $8.75. Tip: you need to let the burrito cool down before eating, it's served really hot! I remember when there was an actual deli case, and we ordered shredded cheese to make tacos at home. Also, post-covid there is no longer a salsa bar. I liked to get sliced radishes there. There are a lot of regulars. Many asians (like me) frequent this place. Just good food!

Old school since 1969. CASH only. The cashier said it's been in the family since 1969 but their instagram shows 1954. The building does look more like 1969. I ordered the popular chili verde burrito and she warned me that it's spicy hot. It was spicy and it was delicious with the perfect flavoring. I also took home a basic bean and cheese burrito and that was delicious too.

Mexicatessan has been in the area for decades and has been pretty consistant in quality, taste, and service. My family enjoys our meals here and we know that we are supporting a local family run business. Our usual menu items include the Soft Tostada burrito (which is basically a bean and veggie burrito), Chile Relleno burrito, Chicken burrito, and Carne Asada burrito. We also love the beef taquitos which are not too greasy and the guacamole sauce that is served over the 2 taquitos is yummy. Sometimes we like to order the tacos and plates, but we mainly get the burritos. Remember to bring Cash, because it is CASH ONLY.
